Dr. Julie R. Wilson is a Licensed Chiropractic Physician. She graduated from The University of Health Sciences Chiropractic School in Lombard, Illinois and is also a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. While Dr. Wilson has studied Chinese medicine extensively, she takes pride in combining the Eastern philosophy with Western Medicine.
Dr. Wilson loves to teach. She has been teaching Nutrition courses and Pathology courses at the Chicago College of Healing Arts for 7 years. She has taught at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and gives lectures and classes all over the Chicagoland area.
Dr. Wilson’s passion is to educate people on nutrition and how the body works, so that they can take health into their own hands by making informed, conscious decisions. She believes that the body does the healing and she is here to facilitate that process.
She uses the following techniques in her practice.
Chiropractic is the foundation of all the physical healing, energy work and movement recommendations Dr. Wilson uses in practice. She includes techniques in her practice such as Total Body Modification (TBM), NeuroEmotional Technique (NET), Autonomic Response Testing (ART) and Applied Kinesiology (AK) to assess if there is organ dysfunction, stress and emotional blocks. In addition, she recommends exercises that can support and restore normal movement of the spine. When interferences are removed, the normal flow of energy is restored in the body, and healing can occur.
Nutrition is one of the most significant factors for which health or disease will manifest. Most people are dealing with food allergies, chemical and environmental sensitivities, and/or intolerances to toxins on a daily basis. Any and all can cause symptoms. Learning the basics of nutrition and finding the ideal diet for each individual can eliminate symptoms, slow aging and allow one to experience optimal health.
